Room to rent - mid to longer term

I have a lovely double room to rent in my flat in Brockley. The room comes furnished with double bed and mattress an entire wall of built in storage inc. hanging and drawer space, and the kitchen is fully equipped.
The room would be available from mid-Feb until end of June, or longer term if we were a good fit for one another.

You would be sharing with me and several animals (only the two cats live inside!) in this beautiful ground floor Victorian flat in Brockley. I’m 38, an artist, professional gardener and gallery assistant. Sometimes I work from home, sometimes I’m out for work. It’s a short walk from Brockley overground station (5 mins), which is zone 2 and well connected. Lovely area and friendly street/community. There’s a beautiful and spacious garden to enjoy and independent shops, cafes and weekend markets and parks nearby.

Rent would be all inclusive, which we can discuss if we like the sound of each other.

*** this is an offer to share a space with vibe that feels like a home, rather than wild late nights and parties. The type of person and our “fit” together is the most important thing; we both need to feel happy and comfortable in the space together.
So, please be LGBTQI+ friendly, happy to live with animals and be willing to tell me about yourself straight away in your response***

Look forward to hearing from you

Carrie

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
