HonaloochieB
If only the good people of Wimpy open a bar there, then ED will be complete. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3569-shops-near-the-plough/#findComment-111826 Share on other sites
ASR
I agree. Marks and Spencer should commence negociations immediately! Its about time we had something new and innovative in that area. That section has been dead / non existent for ages. Amelie
It's owned by the Whatmough Trust, I have the address if anyone wants to contact them. Alternatively, Building Control at Southwark might know what is happening. HonaloochieB
As long as it's an eatery that has a Chocolate Bowler as a pudding, all will be well. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3569-shops-near-the-plough/#findComment-111878 Share on other sites

louisiana
There was some activity around the back a couple of weeks ago. Not much though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3569-shops-near-the-plough/#findComment-112023 Share on other sites
damzel
There's been quite a lot of activity over the last couple of weeks actually, most noticibly a huge rsj which was craned in and is now poking out the back quite some way, which must mean the shop(s) are going to significantly extended at the rear. Supermarket anyone? I hope not, it will make it hard to park down my street. Ant
Seconded, damzel. There could perhaps be room for a small car park back there I suppose. Don't like the idea of all the deliveries though... Louisa
Margaret and Eric are planning on expanding Le Moulin to a new self service restaurant in this location. The decor will be the same so just as a vampire shys away from garlic crosses and sunlight, i'm sure the middle classes will avoid this eatery like the plague. Hooray for something new and innovative in ED!*wakes up*Louisa. Keef
LOL, good one Louisa, although everyone I speak to who has been to Le Moulin has gone back again because it is great.Alas I don't get to go often as it's far from ideal for vegetarians (Mrs Keef). Brendan
Nice of them to be so accommodating in this respect though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3569-shops-near-the-plough/#findComment-112244 Share on other sites
Shaolin Wolf
The construction work starts some days at about 7.30...glad i have a day job in town haha...although they did build a nice new wall for all properties who back onto the site, so swings and roundabouts i guess. We are about to move out of ED end of next month so maybe when we visit again at some point it will all be shiny and brand spanky new and complete :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3569-shops-near-the-plough/#findComment-112245 Share on other sites
SimonM
They do seem to have done a fine job on the upper floors though - at least externally. It all looks quite impressive from the other side of the road.
