So, on Saturday, we suddenly had a leak through on to our bedroom ceiling, with water falling onto our bed. In a panic, we messaged friends to try to find a reliable plumber who would be able to help. My oh my, did we need help. One of our friends suggested Nico; she had been a client of his for a while and recommended him very highly. Nico was unable to come during the day but said that he would visit our home in the evening. The flow of water had stopped but we kept our fingers crossed that he would turn up and that he was affordable. Nico arrived just when he said that he would, climbed up into the loft and then he explained what he was going to do and why. We agreed, the source of the leak was sorted and he gave us advice about how we could make sure that it was unlikely to happen again.  The price of the work was totally reasonable and we are genuinely grateful for his intervention. We intend to use him again and would always recommend him. Aside from his highly professional behaviour, his social skills are outstanding, he is a kind and thoughtful man. Dear Nico, thank you.

A bit of a delayed review but we had a kitchen sink disaster on Christmas Day, so called Nico (after finding his incredible reviews on the ED forum) and he came over the day after boxing day. Incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and super professional. It was a tricky job but Nico fixed it within an hour. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I used the Forum to find a reliable plumber who could respond to an emergency. Niko responded quickly and was able to come over and fix the problem efficiently and effectively. He was professional, courteous and thoughtful. He was also keen that I contacted him after a few days to check with him that I was still happy with the work he had done.

I have no hesitation in recommending Niko and would certainly call on him again.

Thanks Niko

    • Where is the pool in Camberwell?
    • I don’t think it is. It’s certainly is not possible to come from the gym to the pool via the wet side changing without coming back through reception and through the wet change gates. You could get to the pool from dry change but the lifeguards would know you hadn’t come from wet change. Better do a swim only membership for £40 / month and you can use that at Vauxhall and Forrest Hill. I use it and mainly swim at St Pancras but it’s also valid for The Oasis in Covent Garden and any other Better nationally, not just in London. The pool at East Dulwich doesn’t work for people who want to swim for fitness. It’s boiling hot, doesn’t have a deep end and they don’t manage the lanes very well. Peckham Pulse by contrast has problems with the heating and is often freezing. Camberwell is better but seems very chlorinated. all in I have given up swimming with Southwark, so far for me my £40 swim only at Better is, well, better.
    • I no longer live in East Dulwich - would have thought that as so many of you use dog walkers, they might be able to offer advice or local vet
