Slightly out of ED so not sure I can post in the business section ......


I got a sewing machine recently only to be rather overwhelmed by the instructions. Saw an ad in Se22 magazine for a how to use your sewing machine course (2 hours ?29) at the White Room in SE4.Nearest station Crofton Park but it took me 5 mins to drive from near Goose Green.


It's a real find and I'd like to give Nicky a plug. She makes clothes, does alterations, sells patterns can get sewing machines serviced and runs courses for the novice to the skilled, all very informal and informative.


Highly recommend.

      Thank you to fishboy and the other locals who rightly challenged the contractors! We're all lucky that you happened to be in the park at that time. This beautiful tree is worth fighting for. It has now survived two misguided attempts to fell it, the first in 2013 and the second in 2025. The actions of local residents have saved it on both occasions. Let's hope it hasn't been too damaged this week so that we can all continue to enjoy its beauty.

      I spoke to the Chair of FoPRP today,  apparently it was a misunderstanding,  the contractors were meant to be removing another tree, not this one!! So I'm glad locals/park users did intervene and interrogate them as otherwise a perfectly healthy tree ( as people have noted) would no longer be there!!! Bad things happen when good people do nothing!   I also attended the Gala meeting and spoke with their representatives about the damage they inflicted on this tree to erect their hoarding last year.  They were contrite and acknowledged it was a big mistake and that it would not be repeated.

      I would say 55/35 is significantly different to 48/52   its not totally analogous of course and you’re correct to question some of the other points raised  but it was clearly a massive deception and a massive mistake  If Trump decides to invade/takeover Greenland there will be massive rupture between Europe and USA and uk will have to pick  side
