Anyone able to help with job search?

Good afternoon all,

 

Hoping this reach's anyone that is able to help me land a job in finance. Currently 11 months out of work after having the plug pulled at my contract job at the NHS. Since then the job market has been horrendous. I've tried recruitment agencies, linkedin, job boards, directly email companies but no luck. Usually when I have been in interviews I am usually second best and only marginally beaten by the other person.

My main experience has been as a finance analyst in NHS, financial services, retail, professional services. My duties have been financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting. Commercially focussed rather than a traditional accountant. Above intermediate in excel but not quite an excel wiz! Part qualified CIMA student passed 5/12 papers.
