Not strictly a family room discussion but I thought this would reach the right people!

Got any recommendations for front Garden design/builders we possibly want a victorian path put in, it's a standard small front garden just enough room for a hedge or something to be planted and three southwark bins! Three bed victorian terrace house. Ideally I need someone to dig it all up and Lay a new path make it look amazing, I'm quite a perfectionist! need someone reasonably priced with an eye for detail.

Also can anyone recommend where to get the victorian path tiles? Is it better to get them supplied and fitted by the same company? but I I'm thinking it would be more cost effective to get the same people to do the whole thing.

Feeling overwhelmed by it all!

Thanks

Not sure if you need the full services of a garden designer if it is just replacing the path, but we have been working with Barbara Samitier on the major re-design of a back garden. The design she has come up with is amazing! She lives locally. Her website is here: http://www.barbarasamitiergardens.co.uk/Sustainable-and-contemporary-gardens-in-Dulwich.aspx

She also works with a builder/landscaper who can carry out the work once you have the design.

Also we had our back garden done and are very happy with the design work that was done (but we got our own contractors to implement it). If you'd like some photos or contact details of our designer who is based in West London then please let me know.

After much agonising, we've had our front garden done recently by London Landscaping Company. Billy is the boss. The work was first class and we are really pleased. PM me if you want to take a look. We looked long and hard at replacing our worn Victorian tiled path but it is very expensive to do. We went for a cheaper option and don't regret it.

    • It's good that you've never personally had to experience poison being left but it is a known fact in this area. It's not fly tipping - people leave food out for foxes but there are also people who purposefully leave food out to kill animals.
    • Totally recommend Aria. He goes the extra mile and as well as getting the job done and being very easy to deal with he is a very creative in finding solutions and offering advice
    • Just read this posting about the Blue Brick Cafe which I supported when they first applied to open. I Spoke out for them in front of three councillors because the council didn't want a cafe to continue there in a residential area. What a joy it has been seeing them there ever since and I though that it was the owner, Daniel, who had stopped putting the tables outside himself. Sorry to learn that it was Southwark Council putting a damper on things. I never noticed those table blocking the whole pavement and I live nearby and walk past regularly. One local, newly arrived resident in Fellbrigg Road tried the block the expansion of he North Cross Road street market some years ago - shame how some people have their own biased views. Sound like a bit of a situation up at the EDT though. Cheers!
