*UPDATE - help still needed* Missing black cat - Amott Rd, Fenwick Rd, Nutbrook St

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

**Update**

** Our kind neighbours sadly informed us that Medi was hit by a car on Friday afternoon and instantly died. Some neighbours took her out of the road and wrapped her in a blanket, leaving her on Fenwick Road. Unfortunately overnight, her body was gone when we checked on Saturday morning.

We have confirmation from the council, the local vet, Celia Hammond, Medivet and other local services that she has not been brought in. We've had no contact from her microchip so don't believe this has been scanned. We believe it's likely she is with a neighbour, and we would be ever so grateful if anyone could contact us if her whereabouts is known. **

Our much-loved cat Medi hasn’t been seen since yesterday (Friday 20th) afternoon. She is one year old, small, all black with a white patch on her tummy and some white hairs on her chest. She is very friendly and affectionate, and it’s very unusual for her to spend more than a couple of hours outside before coming home for some company.
She may be seen around Amott Road, Fenwick Road and Nutbrook Street, often goes into gardens on Nutbrook Street.
We would hugely appreciate if people could keep an eye out for her, she may have gotten stuck somewhere! She’s very dear to us so we would love to be reunited soon.
If seen or found, please contact me: 07969188667, [email protected]

Thanks so much!

Just to add, she responds to her name Medi when called!

First of all sorry about your cat.

Sorry to say its very possible a fox got hold of her or somebody walking passed put her in a bin...

Angers me that the person who run her over just left her in the road , I have on many occasions while driving picked up cats , foxes , squirrels where people just leave them in the road..  hopefully I'm wrong about fox with your cat

    • Went this morning to Highshore Road opening hours 8-10 AM. Not a sole to ask what the hell is going on.   Joke
    • That's purely speculation Penguin. You don't get to judge that "worries about mistreatment can be set aside" because you don't know the facts.  The poster said they've spoken to the owners, who are not technically the owners but only part time owners, and that they leave the dog alone all day, knowing he has separation issues. If the dog is shut outside all day - it can be fine if they are given shelter and water. Is that the case? It doesn't appear to be. If the dog is shut in all day - can the neighbours hear it? is it only stressed when outside? It needs looking into.
    • Bunch of keys found between East Dulwich Grove and Greendales. They are on top of the green telecomms cabinet opposite the side entrance to JAGS.
    • If this is the dog in question then it seems that the dog isn't being mistreated as such, but that it suffers from a separation anxiety - this isn't uncommon. Being left outside in good weather isn't cruel, and maybe is more interesting for the dog than being incarcerated. So long as those caring for it know that, and are doing what they can to mitigate it, I don't think it's something that 'the authorities' need be disturbed about. The noise is clearly annoying, of course, but additional worries about mistreatment (cruelty) can be set aside.
