I have been attending Gokay Fitness for approximately 18 months and mainly take part in weekly group sessions to build on strength fitness.  Having been a runner for 10 years I considered myself fairly fit with good cardio ability but I was keen to improve on my strength.  During my time at Gok Fitness I have also had 1:1 personal training after a two months bout of pneumonia when I felt I was not ready to return to group classes and Gok and a member of his team, Ilona,  worked with me on a reduced 1:1 programme, which was perfect to restore my energy and strength over a six week recuperation period.

More recently I have attended group Hyrox classes and a friend and I took part in this competition as a pair a couple of weeks ago.  The training gave us a good insight into the Hyrox event and got us “Hyrox fit” with very little aches or pains after the occasion.

My experience with all of Gokay’s staff has been brilliant and the “hub” is a superb location.  I especially enjoy the outdoor classes – in all weathers!  The staff are encouraging, supportive, inspiring and kind.  Gokay has an excellent business!    Experience it for yourself - you won’t regret it!

Thank you so much, Sally! 😊 It’s been amazing having you with us for the past 18 months. Your progress and dedication, especially after recovering from pneumonia, have been so inspiring.

I’m glad the 1:1 sessions and Hyrox training worked well for you and that you enjoyed the experience—what an achievement to compete in the event! 🏅

Your kind words about the team, the hub, and the outdoor classes mean a lot. Thank you for sharing your journey, and I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed being part of Gokay Fitness!

    • If I was working and in the space of 5 months was offered a combined 8.3%, I'd be happy with that. If 8.3% is not enough, how much do they expect?
    • It's not a bad thing but when the government gives junior doctors 25%+, accepts the pay review recommendations (they don't have to) and then tells WASPI women - sorry, we can't afford your compensation, or they remove the Winter Fuel Allowance - it creates bitterness. What they meant to say is "we can't afford it for you". And when you see the role the unions of said public sector workers played in the run-up to the election you can start putting the pieces of the jigsaw together for yourselves....which is why teachers are so angry because they feel they got duped or aren't getting their part of the spoils of victory.
    • I haven't made questionable and exaggerated statements that need to be evidenced. Did you see PeckhamPam's earlier post?   "I think Jazzer is quite properly backing off-he can't be bothered with evidence but admits a feeling.  He may wish to back off further after looking at these figures from a report by UCL at the end of 2022 which was a benchmarking comparison of crimes around the world The figures are homicides per 100,000 inhabitants  - Milan and Rome have the fewest and then comes London.  The report notes that most US cities have a much higher rate, and surprisingly (to me) Asian cities tend to come in lower.  Barcelona (3.1) Berlin (2.9) London (1.4) Madrid (1.9) Milan (0.7) Paris (1.7) Rome (1.3) I think this is the first time I have ever bothered to take issue with what is posted on the forum but I feel strongly about the issue of people throwing untruths about.  Vulnerable people read things like Jazzer wrote and curtail their lives out of fear.  Fear brings mistrust of other people and so it goes on."   But keep digging
