Hello,

Dan here I live on Hindmans Road.

I've been speaking to neighbours who have picked up some of the pieces from what appears to be an attempted theft of my car around 2pm on Monday.

The driver side window is smashed and the panels around the ignition put out of place and scratched.

Some have suggested it's by the same guy who has apparently tried to get into cars on other nearby roads.

If anyone has more information on this please let me know - the description has been a white male 'kid' in balaclava.

Thanks for all the help so far - I only got this car home last week so a very unfortunate incident.

Dan

P.S. If any particularly good value garages around please let me know - I have pretty much spent it all on buying the car in the first place

Very sorry to hear this.

Have you reported it to the police, particularly if there have been other similar incidents near you?

I don't know what is "good value", but the people at Dell Autos in Hansler Road (off Lordship Lane) are  reliable and helpful.

Yes reported to police - case already 'closed' though..

In the end I'm fixing via insurance which will affect price down the line but simplest way to get it taken away and fixed.

I've got hold of some video of same kid trying a car on Underhill Road - white, slight build, Arsenal windbreaker, balaclava. Local policing team have been made aware so we shall see..

    • Well yes.  But only up to a point eu countries have had to spend a LOT of money to accommodate English madness  - and has had to deal with years of incoherent positioning.  It has destabilised the EU as a group - or has at the very least distracted it and consumed bandwidth  which is why Putin was so pro-Brexit. Which enabled other subsequent events - it’s hard to imagine the world as it is now without Brexit.  A stronger EU.  Uk not a mess and in its own after multiple elections and way more prime ministers than 9 years could possibly allow   a stronger united front
