chest of drawers for upcycling/painting.

As part of my clearout/reconfiguration, giving away this solid chest of drawers for free if anyone can take it? Don’t be put off by the wood filler! That was to fill in some damage to the veneer. It just needs to be lightly sanded, and the whole thing painted, and it will look fab. It’s well made, I expect 1950s or so. Good sized drawers. Great width for the narrow alcoves in lots of flats/houses round here. Collection from nunhead ASAP. I can help you load it.

Measurements 75cm width, 107cm height, 50cm maximum depth.

Would hate this to go to landfill. It does obvs need painting, but it really will look lovely once sanded and painted, and it won’t take too long!

    • If JoJo can't afford the increasing rent there (which was one of the reasons a staff member gave when I asked why they were closing), it's odd that a charity shop could - not doubting what you've been told, but it just doesn't make sense!
    • We have just got Eddie back for the second time! Great a clearing weeds, lopping bushes, etc. Reasonably priced at £16 per hour. You can contact him on +44 7742 044722
    • Agreed, the skate park should remain, especially with all the work those involved have put in to get it up, running and maintaining that enthusiasm.
    • Southwark is closing youth centres day centres they’re not going to spend millions on opening a new community space. What that area needs is a good supermarket. The nearest one is Sainsbury’s in Forest Hill. someone else may well know of the mechanism where a council can make a compulsory purchase. So the supermarket underneath with three or four stories of social housing long top built in the same style as the Dulwich estate.Next door.
