Rides for Nov 30th. Two 3-hour rides for you this week. Eduardo leading to Beckenham Place Park with its excellent café, Mike leading a Thames Path ride with a route past some of the amazing Thamesmead murals. As ever everyone is welcome on our (very) Healthy Rides!

10am to 1pm.  Start/finish Dulwich Clock Café, in the middle of Dulwich Park. Eduardo leading. Head up to Peckham Rye and via LCN 22 to Ladywell Fields. Join the off-road Waterlink Way (National Route 21) and follow Ravensbourne and Pool Rivers to Lower Sydenham. Then on quiet streets to Beckenham Place Park. Coffee stop at Cafe. Return by similar route. Route map at https://bit.ly/2SOiQMs.

This is an easy, flat ride on some of the nicest shared cycle paths in London. Start at Cutty Sark next to the Foot Tunnel at 10am. Mike leading along the Thames Path to Thamesmead, past the O2, the Thames Flood Barrier and Woolwich Arsenal. Return will use the Ridgeway to Woolwich where will have a coffee break. Then Thames path again back to Cutty Sark at around 1pm. Relaxed, easy-paced 10-13 mile ride.

Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. If you cannot make a ride, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. This ride is part of a regular programme of Saturday rides, more information at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/

    • No they were created by a Hong Kong artist and became a craze when a K-Pop girl band became associated with them. They do limited editions and they've become a collectors item (Like Jelicat for adults)- I'm a bit ashamed that at 65 years old I know so much about them but they are very much a fashionable item. And I'm always interested in Popular Culture. Whover lost it must be gutted because I understand that when you buy one (they're boxed) you never know which one or what colour you'll get...so if the owner loved that one it may be very difficult to replace.
    • Are they a hybrid of teletubby and some other species?
    • Thats a Labubu. I suspect it was lost by a trend-following adult who had it hanging from their handbag. They're a real fashion trend at the moment and people collect them. I hate them they give me the creeps!
