We have updated our dining furniture since moving so are selling these chairs - they are Eames style with white plastic seats and wooden legs. In good condition but both show some marks of use in scratches to the base seat part of the chair. They don't show up well in photos, they're scratch marks and grooves presumably from trousers - they would be covered if seating pads are used. I can try and send photos if you would like. Collection only from Upper Sydenham, open to sensible offers. We don't have space to store these anymore.

      The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?

      Generator running in The Gardens/Dominic Court

      Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.

      Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
