el_nino
Please could any legal professionals PM me if they are able to offer some help/advice. Essentially, after selling a business almost 6 years ago the buyer is now (wrongfully) taking a family member to court. Many thanks in advance! malumbu
County Court proceedings should be able to be handled without legal advice. There should be guidance from the courts service about what to do if you have a summons served on you - EX303. If you defend it then you will no doubt have good reason to do so which district judge will consider. Six years sounds a long time ago and I am surprised that you could still be liable after this time. Citizens Advice will help, you will have to queue in person or on the phone as they are not as well resourced as in the past. Law Centres may be able to help too. https://waterlooactioncentre.co.uk/ Edited November 24, 2024 by malumbu 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354303-county-court-money-claims-help/#findComment-1688184 Share on other sites
