fractionater
Thought I'd start a fred about the big Dogs you've spotted in ED...'cause I'm bored!...and I'm not a dog luva either. Here are the ones I've spotted so far...1) Clarence - The Grey Weimar (sp?) owned by the bald fella from the Bishop.2) Some old boy walking around with 2 huge fluffy dogs that look like Huskys (They are not huskies though but some other breed which I don't know) - he's on to a winner with those dog's as whenever he takes them out he always get's stopped by girl's (old and young) wanting to stroke and pet them!... bet he loves it!3) A young fella who uses the 8.35 from ED to London Bridge - with a puppy or v.young version of the same breed that the old fella has. fractionater
I don't think the young fell is using the pup to its full potential though... he should teach it some cute tricks and get it to perform them in front of the ladies....(its a very cute dog)! The old fella just loves all the attention - I've seen him in action a few times now! Mark
We were walking through Goose Green a couple of months ago and saw the 2 huge fluffy dogs being walked in the dog free bit, so I obviously pointed this out to the fat guy and his mate who was walking them, he replied;"it's alright I work for the parks department""hmmmm, doesn't mean you can walk your dogs in the dog free bit does it?""I look after he place so I can do what I want""shouldn't you set an example to people then and not walk your dogs in there""blah blah blah something about them being good dogs and they've done their business already so go away""fact is mate it's a dog free area and your dogs are in there""blah blah agressive talk about why don't I sod off and mind my my own business" So we walk off and now dislike the fat bloke who walks those big dogs. Lovely dogs though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354-big-dogs-of-ed/#findComment-7114 Share on other sites

fractionater
who do you think would win in a fight? Clarence or one of the huge fluffy dogs?! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354-big-dogs-of-ed/#findComment-7116 Share on other sites
Mark
fluffy dog would winClarence's owner or fluffy dog's owner? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354-big-dogs-of-ed/#findComment-7117 Share on other sites
fractionater
fluffy Dogs' owner (the old fat fella not the young fella), would just sit on Clarence's owner (in his camp looking below the knee length shorts)and win hands down! The young fella would lose to both I fear. fractionater
Anyway, back to dogs.... and I have spotted some bloke walking round with an absolute monstrosity of a white poodle which he's tried to 'tart up' (probably takes it to show's)! - anyone know the one I'm taliking about? bald marauder
Haven't seen the poodle, but love Weimaraners (ie Clarence). Would be nice to see a rhodesian ridgeback in ED, and maybe even a great dane. (BTW did you know that Dalmatians are the only dogs that, given the opportunity, would actually eat themselves to death?) Huguenot
Now, how would anyone know that? ;-)For that matter, at what point does it slap its paw to it's pointy forehead and go 'Doh!' mockney piers
Baldy, that sounds strangely like a description of craig bellamy! When I grew up a friend of mine had a munsterlander, a dog I absolutely adored (mairead hates dogs so sadly will never get to own one). Anybody got one I can arrange to pet on the green some time in a non-cottaging manner? bald marauder
El M, who is craig bellamy?!H, I know because some friends of mine had a dalmatian (also they are the only dogs that genuinely smile at humans - most people think they are snarling when they do this, but actually it's a smile).**I also know so much about dogs because I used to work at Dog World magazine when I was younger. Polly D
If you get hold of one MP, Hairy Smelly Love will join you in 'petting the pet' while I go to the pub with Mairead hee hee hee or simply relax in our hair-free homes! jumpinjackflash
I've seen a lovely Turner and Hooch dog with a young couple - seen them in the Rye a few times. That mutt's got a head the size of a Rhino's - so I reckon he could easily have Clarence the Bishop's mutt Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354-big-dogs-of-ed/#findComment-7164 Share on other sites

Michael Palaeologus
Lots of dogs smile - they see humans gurning from them since puppy hood and just do it, get lots of attention and do it some more. We had a spaniel that did it. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/354-big-dogs-of-ed/#findComment-7199 Share on other sites
