I saw a notice on the window of the old Dulwich Beer Dispensary a couple of days ago - it. It seems as though a company called Kalea Kitchen Ltd are taking over the premises.

By the looks of the application notice, it’ll only be open at the weekends.

Anyone know any details?

I think from the licence app it means the licence applied for is 7 days a week Sun-Sat 9.00-23.00 not just the weekend.

Ah yes, good spot!

The photograph seems to be of a notice (as prescribed by regs) advertising the application.  The full application details can be seen  at https://app.southwark.gov.uk/premises/applied/884253, which confirms gebbjane's post.

Thanks for the link.

It sounds like they are planning a licensed restaurant with a small bar from reading through the application.

Great that someone is doing something with that site. Hopefully will breath a bit of life into that stretch of Lordship Lane.

I don't think it's an easy location  to attract custom to (ungrammatical, sorry) but I hope they do well.

What happened to that guy who was going to have a stall outside selling some kind of hot food? I can't remember the details, but there was a thread about it on here some time ago, I think earlier this year?

    • Sue, Southbank in London  - you must know this and I don’t need to spell it out to you - must be having brain fog…. Libra I believe piggy backs off Three. if you go on ID website, you can see numerous people complaint about service anyway it is a dead subject now as I am leaving them having been with them for over 7 years
    • You said cycling was lovely because private schools are off. They’re not. You’re wrong. You are clearly trying to lean in to that ludicrous claim that private schools are the sole reason for traffic issues in the area.  Do some fact checking…..
    • I don't understand why you need to challenge what I am reporting, what I have witnessed with my own eyes, not what I have seen on line, or what I perceive to support your entrenched views.  I have cycled most days of this week.  The roads are quieter.  I expect that Dulwich College, Dulwich Prep, and Rosemead are off.  Have a cycle in the area tomorrow during school drop off times and then give me your views.  I've not cycled on Townley so can't can't comment on  JAGS and Alleyn's.  The Village was quiet too. Let's face it you have nothing substantial to say.  From my perspective you resort to snide comments.
    • Actually that's interesting. I have had the occasional call cut off, but I thought I must be leaning on something on my phone by mistake. It never occurred to me it was anything to do with iD! But I've never had problems connecting in the first place, anywhere in London (or anywhere else). Maybe I've just been lucky. The only problem I've ever had with iD/3 was quite a long time ago when the whole of the network suddenly went down for a while. I can't remember how long for. Where is Southbank way? Is that where you live, or do you mean you were writing that post while near the Southbank? What network do Libra piggyback on?
