Pat yourself on the back all those who think two quid is nothing

I'm assuming that anybody who has a cat can afford  its food, litter, vets' fees etc.

Nobody was saying that two quid is "nothing", but it's cheaper than some brands of cat litter, so was hopefully useful to the OP.

Still, hopefully your post made you feel better 👍

I got ripped off for the equivalent of a couple of quid in India many years ago.  Perhaps I should have started a thread.  Fortunately I found a home on the ticket collectors thread as it was related to scams on public transport.  Thank you for reading.

🤣

We still don't know why there was a bag of cat litter at the bus stop!

Surely it would be rather difficult to take it away unnoticed if the owner of the cat litter was  also at the bus stop?

It's not like someone distracted your attention and picked your pocket and you didn't notice till some time later!

But what is also confusing me is, if the OP knows where the thief lives, why don't they go and ask for their cat litter back?

A bit of kindness hey folks, someone had a bag of cat litter stolen, its not the cost of the item surely, rather that someone has has the gaul to nick it.

Someone had a bag of cat litter stolen and now appears to be threatening the person who stole it ("I know where you live, now watch" ) etc.

I'm not entirely sure kindness is warranted.

We still don't know how the cat litter came to be (apparently) unattended at the bus stop.

Nor why the OP hasn't gone to the thief's home to get it back.

But are you a cat litter burglar?!

Kindness, in the way people speak to each other, some of the language has been unwarranted.

I think the bad language started in the first post, to be fair.

Whose language are you referring to?

And who specifically do you think has been unkind, and why?

A stolen bag of cat litter is quite amusing in my view, so I'm sorry if you think we should all be taking this very seriously and accompanying the OP to the thief's house to beat him up and get the cat litter back 🙄

Someone is peed off due to a theft and wanted to vent.  I'm not sure what response they were after beyond 'there there', or put the thief in prison and throw away the key.  I've had a few thefts in the past but not felt the need to share here.  Like it or not but a thread like this is open to some mirth.

I was tempted to post after offering a good fridge free of charge on this site the person failed to turn up, and the scrap people cut the compressor and left the rest for me to take to the tip.  But I got over it.  Street WhatsApp shares stuff like this -  generally don't leave thing out in, or near the street, as some will think they are there to take.  I digress..... Looking forward to some witty comments 😁

It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.

    • The family may of course donate to a charity of their choice. The fundraiser will remain open, there is no way of closing it early and it was started before I was made aware the family had said they only wanted prayers... I know them fairly well so am hoping they accept the funds for Akif's children in good faith. They can always put savings aside and I'm hopeful the children will learn how well liked Akif was locally. Thanks and please let's avoid further comment. We will never agree, so please donate or don't donate as you wish 🙏 thanks
