On the 16th Nov we have 2 rides, both popular in the past. Amanda leading her annual ride to Camden Market (9.30 start) and Bruce with usual 10am start heading to Battersea to the Power Station and Park.

Camden Market.  < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/london-bridge-to-camden-market-cycle-ride-tickets-1075712066749 >  Camden Lock – shops, markets, cafes, busy.  On a ride, normally avoid it.  However, it is a great destination – and lots of options for a coffee stop. Start 9.30am (note early time) at Southwark Needle (south end of London Bridge, close to the station, SE1 2PF) with Amanda leading for an estimated 3.5 hour ride. Outward route along south side to Westminster Bridge, then Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Baker St, Regents Park Outer Circle, Camden High St. Return via Canal Tow Path to Kings Cross Granary Square, Cycleway 6 to Farringdon, up Ludgate Hill and past St Pauls.  Down to Cycleway 3 and if time loop over Tower Bridge and Tooley St back to London Bridge. Some roads with lots of traffic. But pretty much non-stop sight-seeing and photo-ops! Battersea Power Staton and Park.  < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peckham-to-battersea-power-station-and-park-cycle-ride-tickets-1075738014359 >  Everyone welcome on this easy , flat ride. Battersea Power Station wil be dressed up for Christmas and Battersea Park is always worth a circuit. Start 10am Peckham Square, next to Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse Leisure Centre. Bruce leading. Route out via Burgess Park and mostly quiet streets to Nine Elms (American Embassy, Sky Pool). Short stop at Power Station (Christmas decorations; Ice Rink) then circuit of Battersea Park with probable coffee stop there, Return via Larkhall Park, Myatts Fields and Burgess Park. Back at 12.30. Riders can also join at Burgess Park Café, Chumleigh St, SE5 0RJ at 10.20. Please indicate at registration if you plan to do this.  Route map at https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1focj7gj7Pa4NiRUgKKeKc4M7X0qWvJM&usp=sharing

Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. If you cannot make a ride, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. This ride is part of a regular programme of Saturday rides, more information at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/

    • Our cat Booboo has been missing since early Sunday morning (09 March).   He's a three-year-old male cat with black fur (short).    He's recognisable from having very big feet - I think about two extra toes on each paw.   He's very nervous of strangers and doesn't go out the front of our house - he mainly hangs out in the back gardens on our block (Goodrich/Barry/Friern Road).   If you spot him please let us know (07771915355).
    • Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with us!  It was a pleasure to work with you and we are happy to read that we succeeded in exceeding your expectations! Thank you once again you have chosen us! Kind regards, Nikolay NN Floor Sanding
    • That's useful, thank you - I've got a Primark near my work. Primark is (perhaps surprisingly) also one of the most diligent when it comes to labour rights in the supply chain, and I have to say the bits I've had from there have been quite good quality and lasted a long time. But otoh it's still fast fashion I suppose.
