Recommended Posts

Dear mums to be,

Yogarise are partnering with Nurture to offer a very special free workshop for mums to be. Alice Leslie will guide a two-hour introduction to using cutting edge Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques with ancient mindfulness exercises to promote good mental health in pregnancy and postnatally. The session will include meditation, gentle mindful movement, grounding techniques that can be useful in labour and a chance to ask any questions. No experience of meditation is needed.

Alice Leslie is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Mindfulness teacher working for the NHS and privately with a special interest in working with women in the perinatal period. She is part of the team that founded Nurture, a ground breaking app for mums to be. Nurture is a treasure trove of guided meditations and personalised, evidence-based resources to support throughout the emotional journey of parenthood.

    • Yes, they thanked me for pointing out the errors of their ways and agreed never to do it again.  Or maybe not.  There was also two scenes when I asked drivers to turn their engines off when sitting idling by Peckham Rye.  I wont recount the tale but they did not appreciate my request.  I've long since given up.  My experience was similar to Nigel Havers, "go forth and multiply". https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p04qrnh6 I also used to fantasise about putting a potato in the exhaust.  Gone are the days when you could kill the occupants through carbon monoxide poisoning as the levels are relatively low.  Not oxides of nitrogen though.
    • Hi everyone, We’re currently looking to upgrade our front door and are leaning towards something with a Victorian style to suit our home in South East London. While doing some research, I came across Victorian Front Door Company (https://www.victorianfrontdoor.co.uk), and their doors look absolutely stunning. Has anyone here used their services before? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience! How was the process, and are you happy with the final result? Looking forward to any insights or other recommendations for suppliers in the area. Thanks in advance! 😊
    • I saw couple of people in hi-vis jackets, hard hats putting a ladder up against the sign on my way out early evening 9th October. On my way back I looked at the sign and (it took me a few seconds!) spotted the change.
    • Our Australian friend wants to use google maps on his Ozzie iphone in London without using up his international data - I’m sure some of you can advise how he can do this ( before tomorrow morning?!)   thanks
