Laundrette on grove vale

I was jogging through Grove vale and I stumbled across a new laundrette 

about time…just wat we needed!

anyone been to use it so far?

I heard it was there but that’s all. Will need it for some duvets.

It is rather expensive - £1 for 6 mins of drying, compared to 10 mins at the [much missed] Wash & Dry is just money grabbing, plus the machines are old leaving you having to pay even more to get things like towels dry. There's also nowhere to sit so unless you drive there, not much fun on a rainy day...

Whereabouts on Grove Vale is it? Seems a bit daft to have no seats! 

Do they have large capacity machines, and if so how much is the wash?

I just used them 

machines range from 6£ to 12£ 

but compared to all the other laundrettes their machines are certainly newer atleast not 15/20years old like wash and dry.

 

I guess gas and electric isn’t cheap but 4£ in the dryer dried my sheets and towels so I’m not complaining

Took my cat here as he wanted a quick wash down. It was a little pricey, but he didn't mind because he also likes going to the fair and having a good spin    x

Hubby went in to enquire re washing a double duvet - cost quoted £20.  He paid £25 a few weeks ago of another duvet in a laundrette opposite Peckham Bus Garage.

Wow! Would be cheaper to buy a new double duvet.

The solution for the cost of duvet washing is for each person to have their own single duvet like in Scandinavia.  Then you can wash the duvet in your own washing machine. Get a heated drying rack if you don’t have a tumble dryer.
