It is rather expensive - £1 for 6 mins of drying, compared to 10 mins at the [much missed] Wash & Dry is just money grabbing, plus the machines are old leaving you having to pay even more to get things like towels dry. There's also nowhere to sit so unless you drive there, not much fun on a rainy day...

I just used them

machines range from 6£ to 12£

but compared to all the other laundrettes their machines are certainly newer atleast not 15/20years old like wash and dry.

I guess gas and electric isn’t cheap but 4£ in the dryer dried my sheets and towels so I’m not complaining

The solution for the cost of duvet washing is for each person to have their own single duvet like in Scandinavia.  Then you can wash the duvet in your own washing machine. Get a heated drying rack if you don’t have a tumble dryer.

    • It's a bit odd, isn't it? Apparently it could be either Pfizer or Moderna, and I've had both in the past, but I'd just like to know which it was this time. I guess my GP should know, if I wait a few days for the info to trickle through. But as I still kept getting reminders to have it long after I'd booked it, I don't have much faith in a joined up system.
    • I got no information either from the pharmacy in Forest Hill Road
    • They certainly are, but I don't think they travel on tiny meteorites 😂
    • Does anyone know what kind of COVID vaccine is currently being used locally? I've just had a jab, but I didn't realise till I got home that I hadn't been told what it was,  and I had forgotten to ask. This was at the pharmacy at Tessa Jowell. Last time I had a jab was at the  pharmacy opposite Nunhead Green, and they gave me a leaflet to take away with all the information.
