Cinnamon Tree Bakery newly opened at 14 Peckham High St - sweet baked goods rather than sandwiches from what I saw yesterday - delicious

Peckham Refreshment Rooms do a reasonable coffee - on Blenheim Grove, just to your right as you come out of the alleyway from the station (ie turn right out of the station exit, right at the end of the alleyway and it's on your right - underneath the scaffolding at the moment).

I hear the old hardware store next to CASA is to become a cafe.

Otherwise both Anderson and The General Store to take away coffee too. In addition to Cafe Viva, whose I think is better made, and locally roasted beans (Volcano of South London vs Square Mile/Workshop).

Just wondering where this is? I had a quick look on the weekend and must have gone the wrong way.

In other news I note that WH Smith has become another pound shop.

Well that's good news the old pub site has been turned in to something good it hasn't been the Adam and Eve pub for a long time - it was empty for a while and before that was a series of venues known for poor behavior of certain customers (i believe there were rumours ocne that it was going to turn into a lap dancing venue) so given all that i'll take a developments of flats i can't afford and a bakery.

    • My annoyance Is with the fact that the gym is being closed for 5 weeks for refurbishment but we dont have an option to freeze our membership if the only facility we use is the gym. Apparently Peckham gym is closed at the same time for refurbishment which I think is pretty stupid. Therefore the nearest gym for all the members from ED leisure centre and Peckham leisurecentre is the one in Camberwell . I lament the everyone active days..at least I could attend gyms near to work and outside Southwark
