About 8pm while walking my dog, just near the bt / firemen’s alley, I don’t know which direction the dog came from but had crossed into the road extremely stressed and disoriented. Dog was yelping /crying running towards melford road. Nearly got hit by cars more than 5 times. The dog would not come to me and was way too stressed. It was way ahead of me but I ran after it until I lost sight of it up the alley between hornimans park as the alley splits into two. I have a feeling it took the first turning left then out of alley and left again as if towards wood vale cemetery/brenchly gardens. I’m guessing because me and my dog came out and ran towards Forest Hill direction. I had asked every one along that route and no one saw the dog. I really hope dog is found by someone. He/she was so fast and was extremely stressed out.  I’m just so gutted I could not catch him/her

    • Surely the Met are looking at how best they can  use their officers;  this doesn’t seem to be an efficient use of time
    • What's an ordinary joe? I've had many interactions with the police due to my behaviours. Most of the time I've cooperated the best I can and supported their efforts. Am I an ordinary joe, an extaordinary joe, or a Joey? Which box do I jump in next...
    • It's not a survey, but it's not bad that local law enforcement talk informally with local people, who aren't either current victims of crime or current perpetrators. Remember their jobs don't normally involve ordinary joes.
    • I've talked to him about his garden.  It's very retro (though apparently dahlias are back in fashion), but clearly lovingly cared for. He also helps at least one of his neighbours down the hill  with their front  garden. He's a sweetie (technical term) 👍  And Kathleen Olander, surely you don't believe everything some journalist has misunderstood and written in the Standard? I'm presuming the pre fab was built after the war,  after whatever was there before it was bombed. That was surely why most pre fabs in London were built?
