I wonder if it's the same two staffies that have had incidents at Goose Green and Brockwell Park?

If it is, the police had been notified about them and their oxygen thief of an owner multiple times and did nothing.

He publicly trained the dogs' bite grip.

Why does it take someone's beloved pet dying for action to be taken?

What were the incidents(s) at goose green you mention ?

I’ve seen someone walking around Crystal Palace road/goose green with two huge staff/pit type dogs always off lead and could almost predict a problem given the guy’s menacing demeanour, so wonder if related to your comment.

I know exactly who you're talking about. He recently remarked glibly, as he walked past me, that he 'would set his dogs on' something or other. Can't remember the context, but it confirmed the impression I already had that he weaponises his pets and likes that they intimidate people. I won't go outside with my dog if he's passing.

Just for balance - I have met a young chap with 2 XL type dogs on Goose Green who were utterly sweet and bonkers. Not aggressive in any way.

however I understand there are been 2 dog attacks close to peckham library by XL type dogs - one on a dog, and apparently one on a man - I do not have info about the second but the police have been informed about the former - hopefully caught on CCTV

Removed photo due to it being speculation. If there is evidence of a crime, it should be reported to the police.

It’s totally inappropriate to post this material, two dogs playing with their owner. The owner hasn’t committed any crime. Could you imagine leaving your house on Crystal Palace road and someone filming you for no apparent reason? It’s not really fair or appropriate to demonise someone because of your beliefs or distaste. Admin please take this picture down. When I see this guy I will inform him that his photo is on the forum.

Totally agree, it’s not illegal but I wouldn’t dream of doing so because of respect for others and etiquette. Also, I don’t get a thrill out of humiliating or degrading others. If there is an issue, you should directly talk to the person or a crime committed call the police.

    • In the proud spirit of stating the bleeding obvious (!) here is some more RSPCA advice re dogs in hot cars and a downloadable leaflet which contains emergency first aid for heatstroke: https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/dogs/health/dogsinhotcars https://www.rspca.org.uk/documents/1494939/7712578/Dogs In Hot Cars Leaflet.pdf/ade4c043-90ee-7091-c97f-02f047f7b4b3
    • What exactly is the point of having a go at someone who is trying to help and spread useful information? Is the heat getting to people? What does it matter what someone calls dogs?
    • In this heat, our wildlife from bees to birds and squirrels rely on our help. Please think about leaving out a tub of water for them… bees like a shallow dish with rounded stones for them to stand on while they drink.  Doesn’t  take much to help our local wildlife… get the kids to help!!! many thanks x
