 Hey everyone!

I’m new to the area and just looking to meet some new people. I was wondering if there are any clubs, groups, or meetups for people in their 30s. I’m particularly interested in anything related to food—whether it’s cooking, food tours, or trying out new restaurants—or music. If you know of any groups that gather for music appreciation, I’d love to hear about them!

Looking forward to your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Welcome! There's a book club in the ClockHouse pub, there's also the Band of Bakers meetup (with cakes) which happens every few months. Set Social in Peckham is really sociable as well and has lots of regular meet ups.

The SE Book Fest is happening next month too.

There's a few local newspapers (Peckham Peculiar etc) which are in the local libraries with more details of clubs and notices up in the libraries themselves. There's often lots happening around Copeland Park/ Bussey Building and that general area as well.

Hope that's helpful!

As a one off thing, I'd 100% recommend going to Alexander Does Supper, if you like food!

It's up at Dulwich Art School, and you do some life drawing, have an amazing three course meal, and then watch some burlesque! I met some great people from the local area, and it was something different that I would never have done otherwise.

Where is Dulwich Art school???

If you like singing, we have a Singaround at The Ivy House (London's first community owned pub) in Stuart Road, Nunhead,  on the second Sunday of every month.

Listeners are also welcome!

It isn't an open mic - we don't use PA or the stage. Any genre or language, accompanied or unaccompanied, anything goes.

For lots more info see

and go to the Singaround section!

People of all ages come, but it's different every time. We don't ask how old people are, but I'm sure some of them are in their thirties 🤣

It's easy to get to from East Dulwich - a  five minute walk  from Peckham Rye Park,  or a 484 from Goose Green (towards Lewisham) stops at the end of Stuart Road.

Our December one is different as it's our  Seasonal Singaround,  and we sing carols and other seasonal songs in unison, as well as people singing by themselves as usual.

    • Aria came to do a handful of jobs at very short notice for me (removing two radiators, installing a new one, installing a dishwasher and installing a washing machine). Aria did a visit on the day I reached out to him to understand exactly what I was asking for. He followed up with a detailed plan of what needed to be done and a quote for the work. He then completed all tasks in a day (coming back to check all was well a few days later). I would absolutely recommend Aria and will definitely work with him again.
