Pugwash
What end of Friern Road? The annexe at the Friern Lower School (now Harris Boys) may have been a small school. The upper school in Goodrich Road (now Goodrich Primary) was a primary school in the 1930/40s I was at Friern School in the 1960s and never heard of an infant school in that decade. bevvie
The little school was a one storey building and I joined in October 1948 when I was 5. I think there were two or three classes there as we met all together for assembly in the hall. Then we went up to the bigger building for a year before going on to the junior school, either Heber Road or Grove Vale.
