Hi, we are in the process of buying a flat in Inwood House, Dog Kennel estate and were wondering if there are any leaseholders in this group that could share their experience with Southwark regarding services change and building maintenance (major works).  Also, are there any leaseholder associations?

Hi Caro. There are several threads on the Forum involving Southwark leaseholders' service charges and the insanely escalating prices they're paying. Or at least this applies not to all but certainly to many of them. Have a peep on the Forum's search facility and you'll see how many people are astonished at these fees and how difficult this is for these folk. You might change your mind x

      If the road is residential with light traffic then it should be fine for children to cycle on, dependent on their age with or without adult supervision.   West Sussex offer family cycle training: https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/road-safety/one-to-one-cycle-training/ Year six's should have also had the opportunity to have cycle training at scool: https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/road-safety/cycle-safety-courses-for-schoolchildren/#level-2-term-time-course And they also offer holiday courses and advanced children's courses: https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/road-safety/cycle-safety-courses-for-schoolchildren/bikeability-level-3-booking-form/ Finally the school should have a travel plan to reduce the reliance on being driven to school and increase active travel.

      Yep, The Cherry Tree.   I couldn't tell how old the listing is I'm afraid. It was on Yelp, so that may date it.   Very roughly, I'd say it was about twenty something years ago. Just before it became The Vale.
