How do you contact Glazer Delmar Solicitors?

Recommended Posts

I just tried calling Clutton Cox. They gave me a number for law central that didn't work. They said they have nothing to do with Glazer Delmar. I said that is incorrect as they have two ex partners from Glazer Delmar working there. This all just stinks!

SRA have told my neighbour that GD have moved and a new sign will be going up outside. In my opinion, this is bad practice and clients should have been notified before this.

Completely agree. It is not only good practice to inform clients in advance of a move/departure/closure but they presumably have not been sending regular case updates either. My advice would be to continue to complain to firm, SRA and Ombudsman.

According to Experian they had a County Court Judgement registered against them last week for almost £10k.

😮

That's appalling! They are supposed to be solicitors 😮

I am one of the former clients of Glazer Delmar deeply concerned about what is the current position on a Will Probate & what has happened to the significant amount of funds held in their Client Account. Having found out that some Glazer Delamar Client Case files were being stored at the Abington Law Ltd (Law Central) Office in 52 High Street, Harlesden, London, NW10 4LS , an e-mail to sent to the Senior Partner (Joseph Glass) seeking an urgent update. Nothing heard.

Now aware, through our own detective work, that the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) have, on 23 October 2024, CLOSED Abington Law citing that Joseph Glass, & the firm itself, have failed to comply with several SRA Account Regulations . SRA has appointed an Intervention Agent which is Richard Thorpe of Shakespeare Martineau LLP, PO Box 18228, Birmingham B2 2HX. If you are one of those affected by the unannounced closure of Glazer Delmar, you are advised to e-mail the appointed Intervention Agent as a matter of urgency at:  [email protected]

My neighbour was told by Peter Redmond that her wills had been sold to another company?

It's possible that the testator named Glazer Delmar as one of the executors, which is quite a money spinner, and it is this that has been sold/assigned. Only guessing really.  If I was in that position, I think I'd remake the will which would supersede the previous one.

We were using Glazer Delmar a year ago. They were subject to a takeover from Clutton Cox and bought out fully along with all their current clients and finances.

clutton Cox were awful, took weeks to get updates and were regularly assigned different solicitors and not informed. Eventually after threatening legal action with Peter Redmond we settled a smaller portion of our bill and got a new solicitor.

Not to be too gloomy but the SRA are pretty hopeless.  They seem to spend loads of resource hammering easy minor negligence cases relative to serious difficult cases like fraud.  The SRA is itself under investigation:

    • What are our rights here? An item on the shelf has a price tag and next to it a discounted price if you have a club loyalty card or whatever, the expiry date for the offer is a few days in the future. Clearly you expect to be charged the discounted price because you have a loyalty card. You get to the staffed till, scan your card but the discount for the item in question has not been honoured and you've been charged full price. You tell the staff member but they go ignorant and insist the price is the full price without the discount. You go to point out the label on the shelf but they just ignore it. It was traditional to be charged the price shown on the shelf regardless and then up to the shop to correct it there and then, they don't do that now they just call you a liar. I made a complaint online and was told it was not a staff issue, staff are employed as robots nowadays and self-appointed security guards especially in the express stores. I was told next time to go detective and take photos of all the evidence so feedback can be sent to management. That's more work that what the discount is, what a joke.
    • To me, it seems the survey asks questions about ease of understanding of the SPD rather than consulting the public on opinions on the content... What's the best way of objecting to this change in guidelines? Anyone who has been to any of the consultation events and can provide an update on this?
    • There was also a shooting in Walworth.  Sadly there are murders every day.  Still not sure why this has been posted.  I find out about local events on this website but don't usually use it as a news source.  Edited to add, not wishing to offend of course, as the OP has made some good contributions,
