IngridB
The film of the Dulwich Street art project is out - its 18 minutes and unlike any street art film around. No time lapse, no crashing hip hop, just an honest representation of organising a street art festival. Sue
Brilliant film.Sad I didn't get to see the house when it was open though. Is there a list somewhere of what's where and what the original inspiration from the gallery was (if any)? charliebubs
Fantastic film. Very inspirational.I have been past the house, so they haven't knocked it down. Does anyone know if it'll be opened again?Oh, and I never realised that was a crapping dog!!! I thought it looked rat-like!! IngridB
The house wont be opened again, and its quite a wreck inside now. As it is being demolished soon, everything that could be salvaged has been. The crapping dog has been taken from a crapping greyhound in the centre of a large painting in Dulwich Picture Gallery by the 17th century Dutch artist Pynacker, see attached images. IngridB
There isn't an official list that I know of. I should do one! I did this Google map Inspiring City has suggested a walk incorporating nearly all of the murals. http://inspiringcity.com/2013/05/18/the-outdoor-street-art-gallery-of-dulwich/ He has missed out the Phlegm, the Reka, the small Pablo Delgado paste ups and Ben Wilson's chewing gum. There are lots of articles about the project here http://dulwichonview.org.uk/?s=baroque+the+streets.I am leading a walk on Sunday, 2-5pm which takes in most of the walls and ends in Dulwich Picture Gallery where I show the paintings that were the inspiration for the artists. Here is the event on Facebook for more details. https://www.facebook.com/events/154042524798954/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35103-film-about-how-the-dulwich-street-art-came-about/#findComment-669068 Share on other sites
charliebubs
Thank you so much Ingrid. The map is great.I can't see the Pablo Delgado on there though? The smaller art pieces fascinate me!What a shame I'm away this weekend; I would of come on your walk. Will you run it again?Charlie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35103-film-about-how-the-dulwich-street-art-came-about/#findComment-669137 Share on other sites
