Help your child stand out in their UCAS application with this exciting journal club opportunity, chaired by an enthusiastic research scientist working in Biological Sciences.

This online programme bridges the gap between curriculum-based learning and university-style independent study, through an inspiring introduction to scientific papers.

Aspiring STEM students will take part in guided weekly group sessions in which they will discuss newly-published science with their peers. Before each session, students will receive a research article and tailored supporting documents to help them prepare for an engaging 60-minute discussion.

In this highly motivational environment, your child will:

  • Access recently-published science plus a variety of other learning materials.
  • Understand how science is conducted and written across a range of fields.
  • Develop their critical thinking and self-study skills, preparing them for university.
  • Discuss novel research methods with their peers and a professional scientist.

This unique opportunity is sure to spark your child’s curiosity in new or familiar topics in Biology, improving their personal statement and interview performance while also helping with their A-Levels.

Further details:

  • Cost? £160 for the 8-week programme, equivalent to £20 per weekly session.
