On offer is a spectacularly-rare, undeniably-handsome iconic “Balzac” 3-Seat Sofa, originally bought brand new by me from the world-renown London furniture-destination, SCP.

As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Matthew Hilton masterpiece, SCP pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of superb quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of the finest standard.

The dimensions of the sofa is H-80cm, W-218cm and D-102cm

      Their website says: “This store is temporarily closing for refurbishment on the 24th December after closing time. We expect to reopen, bigger and better, in the middle of February 2025.”

      My partner told me the other day that he had seen some in Southwark Park, and he had never seen any there before. I've only ever seen them near water, eg by the stream on the walk between Merton and Carshalton. Hoping I might get some in the garden now, it would make a nice change from sparrows, great tits and the robin, lovely as they are 😀
