DJ courses for teenagers

Recommended Posts

Hello East Dulwichers,

Would you know where I can find DJ courses or music production courses for a 14yr old teenager? The teenager can travel independently if required, so going into town if necessary is not a problem.

Thank you

I'd highly recommend the Midi Music Company in Deptford/New Cross our son has done loads of things with them, very reasonable and great connections  https://themidimusiccompany.co.uk

YUAF a bit further afield but v good too https://www.yuaf.org

Lewisham Music https://lewishammusic.org

Yeah Youth https://www.yeahyouth.uk Shay who runs this is brilliant youth leader with fingers in loads of pies, kids end up being invited to gigs/events and she know so many people in the industry

load of these above are often criminally undersubscribed which is a real shame. Good luck finding something

    • And that's good news for the existing cohort of state school children at those schools how exactly? A sudden influx of kids from the private sector will mean class sizes will grow and the most disadvantaged will lose out - remember a private school child moving to state is a double-whammy as they won't be paying the 20% tax and costing the state more for the state school place they will be occupying. Very, very unlikely - far more likely to make them even more elitist as it is the big schools like Eton (which massively skew the perception of private school in the minds of the masses) which will survive. It is the smaller schools that will struggle and many of those are not catering to the types who frequent Eton etc.
