The less said about the orcs the better. The pen? Seen them given, Charlie Adam, dirty no good c**t as Spurs know. A draw would have been fair but we didn't do enough to win.

Hard to be gracious when you've been beaten by a dubious pen and you've had a player stamped on and it goes unpunished. I hope Adam finally gets an FA charge. I'm sure Jah would agree with me on that one.

Definitely a stamp. Adams continues to get away this sort of thing. He is one dirty bastard.

Interesting to see if the FA does anything

About bloody time. The dirty bastard has been getting away with it for far too long. Pity they won't take previous evidence into account as well.

There's certainly no shortage of it is there.

Sol Campbells recent comments regarding being overlooked for the England captaincy on the grounds of race I find interesting and I for one think there may be more than a grain of truth in what he says. I also found Patrick Barclays comments in yesterdays Evening Standard regarding the subject a little strange. He stated that he felt Sol often mumbled during pressers and monosyllabic in his responses, and therefore not up to the task. Ok so on that basis Terry and Gerrard are latter day wordsmiths on a par with Shakespeare and Wordsworth. As for the FA stating that the timing of his comments were unfortunate is also strange. Clearly they feel there is a right and wrong time to talk about racism. FA definitely stands for F*ck All.

When you look at Owen and Beckham being picked as Captain ahead of him you do wonder if there is something in what he says

But then you think about it a bit more and Gerrard and Terry do have leadership qualities and have a record of geeing up their teams.

Whereas Campbell went walkabout in the middle of a game against West Ham fercrissakes!

so to call the FA racist is brain-dead behaviour

Judas complains too much and always wants to blame it on race. Now I fully appreciate there aren't enough black managers in the game but that is down to the owners who employ them. He was a fine commanding centre half but I don't think he was a strong enough character to have captained England more than he did. (Remember his lost weekend?) Basically, he's a two-faced cunt with a massive chip on his shoulder. As well as himself, Paul Ince and Rio Ferdinand have also captained England so for me it doesn't stand up.
Wow what a reaction!! I do remember the West Ham game but that towards the end of his career. This mand was called a Rolls Royce of a player my many during his time, but the fact that Terry continued to be courted by England after the Ferndinand episode speaks volumes to me.

I think the FA are alluding to the fact that Campbell's comments have come out at the same time as his new book.

Why didn't Campbell mention any of this at the height of the Terry/Ferdinand storm.

I agree that there is no wrong or right time, but his publicists and accountants obviously do...

Granted, but I still think that, regardless of the commercial interests, the FA's track record is less than perfect in many, many respects.

I was going to post about this today but been busy.

I think Campbell has made himself look a bit sily here, and players like Barnes and Ince have said it's a nonsense. People may have taken it a bit more seriously if he hadn't claimed he could have been captain for 10 years, which is utter rubbish.

I agree that certain players would not have been picked ahead of him for footballing reasons (Owen), but in this day and age it's not all about football, and Owen was the golden boy.

I think people are being harsh on Beckham saying he was picked just for his fame. I remember watching more than one England match when he was THE ONLY man in an England shirt running for every ball and trying. He always cared, which is more than can be said for a lot of the other players in the last 10 - 15 years.

I like Campbell, but I think he'll probably regret this particular effort to flog his book as it's backfired on him, and not a single black player (that I've seen) has come out and agreed with him.
