Sturridge was doing pretty good before he got injured and last season they won more games without Suarez than they did with him. Strange but true fact fans.

As Jah said, Sturridge did well at the start of the season when Suarez was banned. Anyway, it's a hypothetical question rather than a point. All clubs would miss their main striker if he was injured/banned. Could say the same about Giroud...

I He's certainly not lacking in self belief. Reminds me of a certain fat chap in that sense.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on. Basically on an 18 month trial period, and I suspect he'll be given very little to spend.

He doesn't need to spend anything. We've done that already. I think he'll give youth a chance. The Bentalab lad who came on against Southampton looked very assured and confident, is a good example. I don't want us wasting anymore money. I'd like to see Tom Carroll back from his loan spell at QPR, he has a good eye for a pass. You won't see him being overly cautious and playing two holding midfielders home or away. I think we'll be much for cavalier in our attitude so we can expect some high scoring entertaining games where we'll concede plenty but hopefully score more than the opposition. Good luck to him. I wish him well, and it does look like he'll set teams up to go for it, which can only be good in terms of excitement. Big gamble though, and Levy's expectations will still be high.

I think they'll get rid of him in the summer anyway, once a couple of international coaches are done with the world cup.
