Good result for Spuds last night. Is it just me though but dont you think some of the teams in the Europa could be straight off a menu?

"Good evening waiter"

"I'll have one Onion Trabzonspor to start. Then a Lamb Makhachkala with extra chilli. One Chicken Krasnodar and a Vegetable Razgrad. For desert I'd like the mint Chornomorets and a glass of Tiraspol."

Sorted!

.....which beat D'arse by 10 years.

What a game - turns out City's extraordinary effort was because Pellegrini thought he needed to win by 3 goals to get 3 points...

Oh and the Irons, at home, against a bottom team, appear to be playing like shit. Again. Only half time though - maybe Allardicci has speech of 'grande ispirazione' up his manicotto.

er, and whose fault exactly are our 'current goal scoring options'? Ask him that. All that money on Downing, when we already had a player who does the same thing (for big money too) Jarvis and the rest of our budget on a crocked target man, his excuses on the TV are pathetic, I want him out now. We've games against Arsenal and Utd in the next two, get him out before then and let a new manager have a look.....our Barrow boy porn merchant owners will do SFA though. Relegation.

"We have got eight clean sheets so far this season. That is a brilliant return as we only got 11 last season.

"We all know that the [scoring] goal factor that has not made the difference for us and had that been better we would be higher up the league.

"The only thing that we are not doing consistently, at the moment, is scoring goals and that is why we are where we are."

AND WHOSE FAULT IS THAT YOU CUNT OF A MAN.

Apologies, I am not happy.

BFS doesn't play does he. Putting the ball in the net is for the players to do.Who do you want to make it better? Have you read the Gold interview i.e regrets the signing of Carroll and there isn't anyone better to get them out of the hole they are in than BFS?

Re the interview - yes saw that and heard Sullivan say that "if you were looking to bring in a manager Sam is the one you would be looking to bring in so who is there better etc etc?" - well they've got to say that while he's still there - chairman's vote of confidence etc.

But he ALSO said the manager would be judged at the end of the season so even if we survive I see him gone - Gold and porno won't jeopardize the megabucks move to Olympic heaven.

BFS's philosophy is clear - try and keep 'em out and worry about getting goals later - "We have seven clean sheets already in the first 15 games... sooner or later when we get that clean sheet we'll score one goal and win a game."

It is having such a negative effect on what good players we DO have that things are getting worse not better. A change must come because even a part-time coach or a newbie manager would be a better choice right now.

The Downing signing was crazy and everyone knew that when it happened and everyone also knew before a ball was kicked that we were light in the striker dept. and that, without signing a good one, we were screwed - but eggs and baskets and not spending any more money meant they relied on Carroll coming back quickly and the team holding up until then.

Now every agent knows they're desperate and will charge a fortune for average players in January.

My fear is that Diame etc will leave and it'll be a whole rebuild job - so badly has Sam fucked things up.

So, Steve Clarke has been sacked. I thought that was a little premature but what do I know. He's obviously a good coach and I reckon he can count himself a little unlucky in his first management job with his team underperforming recently. So he's available, would West Ham fans take him over BFS?

It was great but he just couldn't keep his hands off Alan Shearers balls. If there's a ball there, he'll handle it.

Let it lie Mick, its history.

But I still hate him, I so do.

I really really hope you win that bet, but I'm still just hoping for top 4 and keeping Saurez. No champs league and he's gone for sure.

Alas I couldn't get out for today's match but sounds like Sterling was a real handful down the right.

    • Tommy has been servicing our boiler for a number of years now and has also carried out repairs for us.  His service is brilliant; he’s reliable, really knowledgeable and a lovely guy.  Very highly recommended!
    • I have been using Andy for many years for decorating and general handyman duties. He always does a great job, is very friendly and his prices are competitive. Highly recommend.
    • Money has to be raised in order to slow the almost terminal decline of public services bought on through years of neglect under the last government. There is no way to raise taxes that does not have some negative impacts / trade offs. But if we want public services and infrastructure that work then raise taxes we must.  Personally I'm glad that she is has gone some way to narrowing the inheritance loop hole which was being used by rich individuals (who are not farmers) to avoid tax. She's slightly rebalanced the burden away from the young, putting it more on wealthier pensioners (who let's face it, have been disproportionately protected for many, many years). And the NICs increase, whilst undoubtedly inflationary, won't be directly passed on (some will, some will likely be absorbed by companies); it's better than raising it on employees, which would have done more to depress growth. Overall, I think she's sailed a prudent course through very choppy waters. The electorate needs to get serious... you can't have European style services and US levels of tax. Borrowing for tax cuts, Truss style, it is is not. Of course the elephant in the room (growing ever larger now Trump is in office and threatening tariffs) is our relationship with the EU. If we want better growth, we need a closer relationship with our nearest and largest trading block. We will at some point have to review tax on transport more radically (as we see greater up take of electric vehicles). The most economically rational system would be one of dynamic road pricing. But politically, very difficult to do
    • Labour was right not to increase fuel duty - it's not just motorists it affects, but goods transport. Fuel goes up, inflation goes up. Inflation will go up now anyway, and growth will stagnate, because businesses will pass the employee NIC hikes onto customers.  I think farms should be exempt from the 20% IHT. I don't know any rich famers, only ones who work their fingers to the bone. But it's in their blood and taking that, often multi-generation, legacy out of the family is heart-breaking. Many work to such low yields, and yet they'll often still bring a lamb to the vet, even if the fees are more than the lamb's life (or death) is worth. Food security should be made a top priority in this country. And, even tho the tax is only for farms over £1m, that's probably not much when you add it all up. I think every incentive should be given to young people who want to take up the mantle.
