The only reason I like to have a pop at Miwaww is because I'm living in enemy territory as it were - most of the neighbourhood that aren't DH fans are probably Miwaww. But it feels a little forced these days - dockers blah blah, thugs and hoolies "'oo are ya?" etc.

When I first started following The Irons that disgraceful bunch of tossers in the Shed were the biggest rivals, for others it's Tottingham. The only real derby-type rivalry we could have would be if Hearn's lot step up a couple of leagues and gain 20K or so fans.

Feckin' Orient w@nkers.

Ventured up to Champion Hill to watch Dulwich Hamlet for the first time since moving to the area (used to follow a local non-league team in the 90s), and what a delight it was. Was quite fortunate as I thought I was going to the league game vs Maidstone - just as well the Trophy dealt a home draw!

On the pitch, nice flowing football - players running with the ball interspersed with short, crisp passing.

Off the pitch, a thoroughly friendly atmosphere, and probably the single largest community that Dulwich & its surrounds have to offer.

Will definitely be back. Been enjoying seeing the pink and blue scarves creeping into the area over the last few weeks now that autumn has hit, so have also joined those ranks too.

In winter 1990/1991 I went to Wembley to see England v Cameroon in their post World Cup tour - after 90 mins it was possibly the coldest I have ever been in my life. It was -2 or -3 and I just had a light coat.

Roger Milla said it was too cold to play (really he wanted lots more money) And most people had only gone to see him play.

I left a couple of mins before the end as I thought I was going to die of hypo something - I ran the length of Wembley Way to the tube to get the blood circulating again. Horrible.

Last time I went to an evening match was several years ago now. Miserable winter evening at The Valley watching an awful match between Charton and Bristol City. I couldn't feel my feet, and decided then that I would never go to another floodlit match.

I do miss the atmophere of going to regular matches, but what with being as blind as a bat, I really do get a better viewing experience in a warm pub with a pint.

    • What do you need a solicitor for? What advice do you/they need? Only the courts or the tenants can end a tenancy, the landlord can only require possession. If it is a section 21 that is a "no fault" eviction,  meaning the landlord simply wants their property back vacant. If it is a section 8 it means the landlord requires possession because of rent arrears or some other kind of breach of the tenancy agreement. If there is no notice then it is potentially an illegal eviction. TBH the council are probably likely to advise they stay put until the courts evict them, but that could result in them being allocated emergency accomodation - which could be outside of Southwark and possibly a hotel room or hostel.  As you will be very much aware council housing is rarer than hens teeth in inner London so I would advise this family not to pin thejr hopes on that, they would better off trying to find somewhere more stable to rent privately.
    • If the eviction is coming through an agent, it’s unlikely to be an illegal eviction in which case a solicitor would be an expensive waste of money. Southwark council’s  housing department   gives free advice/help to private tenants. 02075254113
