I almost jokingly added that at the bottom, as that's what all my Man United supporting mates say about Kane. It's a team game though and team honours are no indication of individual quality. Plus, he's only just 21.


When it comes to individual honours however, 2 PFA Young Player of The Year Awards in his first two premier league seasons is much more indicative of quality.



But, i'll put bitter united fans to one side and carry on as it's his birthday. Your club's greatest ever has nice things to say about him.

Yeah, once they or Barca come calling, it might be a different story. I'd like to think that we've got a tight knit squad who want to see things through with Pochettino, but when they come knocking I guess it's difficult to say no. We'll see.

Bitter? Behave. I'm old enough to have seen Utd relegated, then perennial league also rans. I never expected to see us win the league once, let alone all what we subsequently did. If we never win anything again in my lifetime I'll die a very happy fan...

Not happening. None of you jealous knobjockeys have been paying attention. Spurs are no longer a selling club. All our top young players have been signing new contracts. There is a team spirit at Tottenham that you can only dream about at your clubs. We've got great players and a fantastic manager. The best training facilities in the world and we'll soon have a stadium to match. We're on the up and we'll soon be winning trophies and top players will want to play for a club like ours.

Unbearable I expect. Imagine being a Spurs fan since the early 80's when most of your mates are Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea and City fans. I've only had West Ham fans to take it out on since 1981 ffs.


Edit: But not as unbearable as Jah it seems ;-)

I was three years old when we won the double so yes I will go proper fooking mental if we ever do something similar.

The Cup Winners Cup was the first thing that seemed to trigger

the rest IIRC.

I'd seen Utd win FA Cups pre-Fergie (Liverpool, Brighton, Everton) but never the league.

Utd's first trophy under Fergie was also the FA Cup in '90 v Palace. That led to the ECWC in '91 and then we won the League Cup in '92, before finally winning the league in '93. I didn't have to Google any of that ;-)...

I was at the Brighton reply, the Everton one and the Palace replay. The Everton one was fantastic due mostly to a great winning goal and memorable for the first player ever to be sent off in a Final I think. I also had the pleasure of going to the Coventry cup final with my Spurs supporting brother. Hehe.

Kelvin MacKenzie has always been a vile, arrogant prick and The Sun has always been a vile, disgusting rag that I quite frankly wouldn't wipe my arse on. But you're right, the story should have been spiked before it went to print. The editor is just as culpable as MacKenzie in letting his hate filled column be published.

      Exactly. There's also a much easier way to find out how demand and supply are interacting for student housing: look at how goddamn expensive it is! It's a huge barrier to entry for students who want to study away from home. If the price of student housing cratered, this would be great news for everyone except property developers because it would cut housing costs for students and reduce some demand on "mainstream" housing in the wider market (because students won't be looking for houseshares). These property developers (and their financiers) aren't shovelling millions of pounds into student housing because they think the market is going to crash and they're going to lose money! And if they do, it's not really my problem...

      Just a quick question- We’re on Crystal Palace Road, backing onto Darrell Road, about midway between The Great Exhibition and The Actress, and both my daughters (late teens/early twenties) are complaining about an intermittent, very high frequency noise that they find very uncomfortable. It’s worse for the older one as she’s trying to study for the finals of her degree coming up in May, and she’s already having hospital treatment for an ear condition. The sound can even be heard from indoors with the windows closed. Neither my wife or I can hear it but it’s been going on for a few days now and I wonder if it’s one of those ultrasonic cat/dog/fox repellents, maybe connected to a movement sensor, that only registers with animals and younger people with much more sensitive hearing?    If that is the case would you mind turning it off please as it’s causing a very real problem.    Many thanks.

      Lordship Lane Post Office Closure

      It would help if they opened times when most people needed them.  I had to send a parcel yesterday and Forest Hill post office was unexpectedly closed.  I ended up going to Sydenham, even though Lordship lane was on my way for other shopping as the Lordship Lane PO it closes at 1pm on a Saturday.

      My 6 ft 2 son has just pulled his hamstring at an athletics competition & is in his way home in an uber from north London.  Would be great if anyone has any crutches we could borrow this afternoon?..  thank you so much if so!   Sorted now thanks
