Sorry Meds, missed this.

Yes, esp as CL now not possible. If we win the FA Cup that shouldn't save LvG from the chop. I know Mourinho has baggage, but anyone else would be a big risk...

I don't disagree that we blew it. Only Tottenham could have blown it the way they did and let Arsenal in ahead of them on the very last day of the season. I think we also missed Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele once they got their bans. Two very big players for us which also shows the need to buy big in the summer because their replacements just weren't good enough.

On a more positive note it has still been a very good season for us, we're in the Champions League, we have a great squad of young players who will be all the better for this experience next season. Harry Kane won the Golden Boot with 25 league goals, Alli won Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season on MOTD and we have five players going to the Euros which is a testament to the management of Mauricio Pochettino. With a few additions to the squad I think we can make a challenge for the title next season.

I did say ..so Millwall a bit closer to a return to The Championship..

I think we will do it.. Yes I'll be going. It will be my 4th time at the new Wembley.. It's a great atmosphere there.

Haven't seen or heard from Moonster for some time.. She's a 'Swan' now..

She don't like losing.. Millwall doing well now but don't think she will ever convert back.

Shame really.. Not many other 'Wall fans here.

If it means more negative football, which it almost certainly will, I'd be surprised if MU went for Jose. Surely the traditional attacking style of MU is the way "forward".

anyway - I personally think LVG will be given more time.

JM's teams haven't always played negative football. His first Chelsea team of Robben and Duff were very attack minded. Real Madrid too, hard not to be with the players he had. The first half of last season Chelsea were playing entertaining, attacking football. So I don't think it's a given he would bring negative football. He knows it wouldn't go down well, so I think he would adapt accordingly.

Personally I don't understand why LvG would be given more time, unless the plan is to replace him with Giggs, and if that's the case why haven't the club made a statement to that effect to dispel all the JM talk? The fact that they haven't made a statement is telling. I think the club would've sacked him already were it not for the possibility of CL and the FA Cup run. They've kept quiet so the players didn't switch off like City. I'm convinced he'll be gone after the FA Cup final, and amazed if he stays. Why let a manager run down the final year of his contract like that? Doesn't make sense unless Giggs is the heir. I like Koeman, probably next best after JM...

We will see.

I don't think he should be given more time - I just think he will.

Don't buy the oft quoted Duff Robben argument really - it was an experiment for him that didn't really work out - in the long run he reverted to type.

Of course his style works - but I think the LVG style failure makes it less rather than more likely that they go to Jose next.

I think Liverpool's problem is that they can't play the high tempo pressing game for the full 90 mins. I've seen them before blow-up after about 75 mins. But for some reason, maybe adrenaline and the occasion took over, they run out of gas by half-time...

Moreno was awful and cost you big time. I'd say get rid. Don't rate him at all. Countinho, apart from setting up the goal invisible, Firmino had one good run, other than that invisible too but you're also forgetting how good Seville were second half. They closed down your midfield and didn't let you play where they'd been space to do so first half, though I'd argue Liverpool didn't work hard enough second half and perhaps as RD says ran out of puff. Woeful defending on all of the goals. I thought Kolo Toure and James Milner were your two best players and that's saying something. Apart from Sturridge's decent finish any flair went missing. So, to conclude, on the night you just weren't good enough.
Don't disagree with any of that, and yes Seville deserve credit. But I've seen LFC lose finals before and never experienced an atmosphere quite like the one in the pub in that second half. There was tangible disbelief that they could have changed THAT much from the first half. As I say, more than just running out of steam.

Good to see a Celtic player there. Albeit we sold him to Southampton, it's still a good buy and sell.

Southampton this season had Fraser Forster, van dyke and Wanyama - all of which could/should have been bought by the big 4 clubs directly from Celtic. They are all top notch.

    • I hope you had it marked on the bike register.  Many stolen bikes end up on Gumtree (mine did) so check listings. https://www.gumtree.com/for-sale/sports-leisure-travel/bicycles/uk/srpsearch+condor  if the listings is a copy and paste from the bike company website that is almost definitely stolen, or details are scant.  When they talk about how long they had the bike, the sort of journeys, what they have done to maintain and improve it etc they will be genuine. I've got no advice on how to do a sting and get it back,
