The club are remaining tight lipped according to the beeb. Their article really does highlight what a bunch of spoilt kids that club has in it's squad.

LVG has probably agreed a deal in principle with Spurs that is just waiting to be signed. I'm not sure LVG is the right manager for us though. He's definitely got the experience and stature for the job, but with the expected rebuild I would've thought they would get someone younger. LVG will also be preoccupied with the WC, we need someone to hit the ground running, get players signed before the WC even starts, we can't waste another summer transfer window. Not sure how LVG can commit until after the WC. My vote would go for Klopp...

At Chrimbo there was still optimism that we could finish top 4. We've actually got worse since then, the performances against Olympiakos (away), and Liverpool and City at home were especially dire. Yesterday was just as bad, and when he came out and said he thought our passing game was brilliant...well, it was only a matter of time

Not a chance with Klopp.


He's just turned down Barca, turned down a whole host if clubs last summer And just this week said he's still too much in love with BVB to go anywhere else. A few years down the line maybe, but not now.


My money would be on Van Gaal or a gamble on Giggs. Outside chance of Simeone I suppose.

You've changed your tune on LVG ;-)


I agree that Klopp is unlikely, it's a preference rather than a prediction. I wouldn't say no chance though. Maybe he thinks he's taken Dortmund as far as he can. It can't be good for morale to see his best players leave for their main rivals.

With regards to the Barca job, a lot of potential candidates will be put off by their transfer embargo. A new manager will usually want new players.


I expect Giggs will be a stand-in, but surely no more. We need proven managerial experience. Great players don't always make great managers....

Changed my tune on LVG? What did I say? My memory is terrible. If it was about him coming to spurs, I'd stand by it if Moyes was kept on. If United were managerless then it wouldn't be a tough choice between the two.

Hodgson's a dud - so he'll end up at ManU. BFS will be available to Spurs to make use of Adebayor's aerial qualities and Moyes will probably be too shell shocked to do anything useful or creative for a while so will probably go to Newcastle and Pardew will return to Upton Park to annoy Arsene - who will see that as the final straw and will 'retire' to PSG.

Blimey a few days away and all hell let's loose !! Rags was originally a United fans term as in 1930/31 season United were almost bankrupt, 1st Division but only attracting 4,000 at Owed Trafford- Manchester City Council and er, oh yes, er Manchester City FC bailed them out !!! There kit, at the time, was so repeatedly worn it was almost thread bare-hence rags. Oh, that wasn't the first time City and MCC bailed United out!!!! Welcome Bovine, London is Blue (and No, I don't mean those Chelsea baskets !!!) CTWD

At many other clubs he would've gone by Christmas RC.

To go from winning the PL by 11 points to a distant 7th place, not even qualifying for Europe (hopefully) isn't normal...

I'd also like to remind you that when we had bad times here the club stood by me, all my staff stood by me, the players stood by me - your job now is to stand by our new manger. That is important

      Just had this team/ company demolish a front wall, dig out the trees, build a wall, a place for the bins, landscape the front with stones and the liked and lay a new path and porch with a bull nose stone step. We are very happy with their work, diligent and attentive to detail, (it’s always difficult to know until things have bedded in for a few years but) good quality. Excellent communication. They’re very local, they know the East Dulwich clay, that the buildings and grounds are essentially mobile, and very dependant on the temperature and moisture in the ground. I think the key things for us - busy, always in and out, young kids etc - were we felt perfectly safe with them here, I don’t think they mucked about with pricing or quality once we were set (bits and bobs come up and were effortlessly sorted) and all in all, over the time it took for them to get the right quality (for them! the finish is good) we quite liked the team. We’d have them back in a moment, and are very happy to recommend them.

      CIC is not the appropriate vehicle for a fund-raising intermediary.  CICs are for businesses that typically sell something or provide a service for social good  but are not for profit; a community cafe or arts centre, or an IT skills training centre for  unemployed people. it costs £65 to set up  a CIC, the scrutiny is less than for a full charity, and the administrative burden is pretty low if you don’t file accounts. It’s hard to prove a negative, but if you were trying to build a credible, positive case for giving money to street collectors for CityHive CIC, that might be a little harder still… tho thank you, Zahid for joining the Forum to give it a go.
