On the 31st August we have two rides, very different in character. One is a new longish ride from Dulwich to Bishops Park. The other is a shorter ride showcasing the off-road Waterlink Way Ride 1, Dulwich to Bishops Park < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dulwich-to-bishops-park-southwark-healthy-ride-tickets-1002625077597 > A 17 mile loop, starting from the Dulwich Park café (Dulwich Clock Café, middle of park) at 10am. Outward route via Brockwell Park and Clapham Common to Wandsworth Bridge, then along the Thames Path to Putney Bridge for Bishop’s Park, where we will have our coffee break. Return via New King’s Rd , crossing the river for Battersea Park, and back via Clapham Common to reach Dulwich Park by 2pm. Ride leader John S. Ride 2, Peckham to Waterlink Way and Cutty Sark < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peckham-to-waterlink-way-and-cutty-sark-southwark-healthy-ride-tickets-1002627053507 > 13 mile easy cycling route. Start/finish Peckham Square (Peckham Pulse Leisure Centre, Peckham Library). Meet 10am, back at 1pm. Ride to Ladywell Fields, then up and down Waterlink Way. This is one of the nicest off-road paths in London, about 1.2 miles. Then National Route 21 via Brookmill Park to Cutty Sark. Final leg back to Peckham via Folkstone Gardens and Bridgehouse Meadows. Easy ride. Bit of uphill at start then downhill or flat. Lots of off road or cycle lane. Good ride for less confident cyclists – and a coffee stop at Ladywell Fields (Good Hope Café). Bruce leading.
