Vintage wardrobe £15 (disassembled)

Recommended Posts

Mid century wardrobe/cupboard by Avalon

This was designed to be taken apart and reassembled. The wardrobe has been disassembled for collection (see photos). Please note that the back board is one piece and although it will bend slightly will need to be transported as a whole sheet.

Dimensions: 121cm wide (left to right) x 55cm deep (front to back) x 172cm high (top to bottom)

It has one hanging rail which leaves some space under the clothes, at the bottom, for shoes, etc. The inside of the wardrobe is a rich colour. The outside has faded in places but could be refreshed with oil or stain. It shows some signs of use and has some chips at the bottom of one door (shown upside down in closeup photos) and some darker marks. But for its age it is still smart.

Priced to take into account the wear. £15

Collection from Forest Hill.

    • I was trying to remember the name of the Tulip. It was run by a Turkish family, wasn't it? There was another proper, old chippy there around the same time as the Tulip, so mustn't have been Tony's. Do you remember the name of that one? It may have been where Sea Cow went in. I'm struggling to remember the names of all the curry houses there were at one time. There must have been towards 10.

    • I can't see any reference to magnets anywhere, including the OKR recycling centre website. I have replaced a number of fridge and whiteboard magnets with stronger ones, but the old ones  have a plastic top with the magnet underneath, so I don't think I could put them in the blue bin. I know I could contact the recycling centre, but I thought someone on here might know?
