Cutting a wardrobe rail

Wondering if anyone had an axle grinder or similar to cut down my clothes rail by 5-10mm.

B&Q and selco only cut wood. Seems excessive to buy the tools for such a small cut.

yeah, getting started can be tricky, but it should be possible.  Get the rail on a table and someone to hold it still then i would use the saw held up against my finger in the place you want to cut and push slowly/gently back and forth until the cut has started (obv not a recommendation, but a fine toothed hacksaw can't really cut skin very easily).

An angle grinder just seems like overkill.  Good luck!
