Degger
I discovered this pub in 1980. I remember my first visit. It was run by a good old boy called Lenny Palthorp. (Not sure if I got the surname correct). And he had a son also called Lenny. They had a boxing ring set up jn the beer garden. Some ginger guy was fighting I remember Not a nice guy it transpired. A pint of harp was 56p.a year later Jim and Pat took over. It was my local til 1985. I was in there most evenings. Good times.
