CANCELLED Safer Neighbourhood Team meetings for Peckham Rye Park Ward area includes some of ED. 10 July 2024

Recommended Posts

CANCELLED Hi folks. Short notice but what can I do.  At Brenchley Gardens TRA Hall 10th July 2024 6pm till 7pm (so be back for kick off) is the local police safer neighbourhood team meeting.  It used to be so well attended years back, and many on here will be in that catchment area.

https://www.met.police.uk/area/your-area/met/southwark/peckham-rye/about-us/crime-map

We can ask questions of the police of their thoughts about the GALA festival this year and how they felt it went crime-wise, and learn of issues in the area.

The police themselves do not publicise the meeting anymore on social media.  They have their email list and it includes councillors and local resident housing officers who rarely, if ever, attend.   But it is useful.  We do live in the quieter / least crime area of SE15/22 it's true.

Hi, it was cancelled at 5.30pm half an hour before it was due to start for reasons of "operational needs".  We got there at 10 to 6 and the doors were closed and I looked at my phone and saw that email.  Shall update you when it is next due.

Do you have an email and a tel no for them?

Nope.  All they have on their website within the met police is an online contact form, as per the attached, if it works.   However, I do have contact number for the PCSO for the area and he can pass it on to the appropriate officer:  [email protected]

    • Sadly I am not in the market for buying a new car, electric or otherwise, or else I would happily join the Tesla boycott, which seems to be having the desired effect (sales have fallen significantly, and Trump is calling the boycotters Radical Left Lunatics 🤣) I googled to try to find out if I was likely to buy anything American, in order to replace it with something not American, and the only thing I can find so far is Fairy Liquid (of which I already have a lifetime's supply, as I have a dishwasher,  so I rarely actually use the FL). I really don't feel I can google absolutely everything I buy,  but does anyone know of a website which has a comprehensive list of American imports to the UK, including but not solely food and household stuff? Also,  Amazon and eBay are both American, which is annoying as I buy quite a lot from both as it's convenient, so I will have to rethink that, I suppose.
    • Bumping this up as I’m wondering if the owner(s) of these dogs has now got another one being walked off lead and unmuzzled in the same area as reported on here.
    • Really grateful if anyone had any spare moving boxes. Can collect whenever convenient. Thanks
    • Our cat Booboo has been missing since early Sunday morning (09 March).   He's a three-year-old male cat with black fur (short).    He's recognisable from having very big feet - I think about two extra toes on each paw.   He's very nervous of strangers and doesn't go out the front of our house - he mainly hangs out in the back gardens on our block (Goodrich/Barry/Friern Road).   If you spot him please let us know (07771915355).
