Penguin68
Although the most common causes of damp tend to be (1) condensation or (2) leaking pipes or gutters etc there are also issues, including locally, of rising water tables. However the comprehensive nature of your problem does suggest that you might have a leaking water pipe entering the building (or worse a drainage pipe). That could account for damp on the floors and wall damp could be consequential condensation, as water evaporates from the floor and re-condenses on the walls. You need an expert. Thames water can check to see if there is a leak on the mains pipe running into the building, but if it is on your property they won't be responsible for repair (though sometimes they do repair this sort of problem). EDmummy
We recently had a leaking pipe under concrete floor and it cost a bomb to fix. I hope they have home insurance! granadaland
Sometimes a leaking waste pipe from a bath etc can cause damp walls. KidKruger
It’s amazing how often suspected damp is actually condensation, not diagnosing for you but supporting what I think has been said earlier. If you get stuck try Peter Ward on youtube: his vids helped me convert a 30yr rising damp problem into a condensation solution. Good luck! 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/347528-anyone-had-any-experience-of-dealing-with-unexplained-damp-not-rising-not-condensation/#findComment-1672122 Share on other sites
