Hi guys, I have a TV that I feel is worthwhile repairing even though I have now bought a new one. But I still want this old one to survive because, well, its 3D TV! 3D is dead, no one makes 3D TVs anymore. I love 3D and I do still enjoy watching them in my VR headsets but that's a lonely experience, family can't share the 3D with me.

My TV works for 5 seconds and then switches off. I think I know whats wrong according to an LED error code I looked up. I think a component that drives the edge lit LED needs replacing or probably need a contact clean.

Any of you know a good TV repair person or shop in our area? UPDATE: Nevermind, I decided to just put it up in classifies for free on collection, and if no takers, will dispose of it through council service (or local removals)

But as a discussion, do any of you love 3D as much as me!?

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
