You're going to be hard to catch in the Fantasy. I reckon around this time of the season most people have settled on similar players, therefore needs a bit of leftfield thinking...time for the Joker!

That's a seriously senior moment, hopefully it will reflect in your results so it will give us all a chance to catch up with you.

Yes.. I know.. I never change predictions though.. Bad luck..

I used to be in a Quiz team called 'If Only'

You know.. 'If only we put that.. If only I listened to you.. If only I ignored him.. '

I'm off to Millwall on Sat.. so I have predictions to look forward to when I get back..

Foxy

Just letting you know that I'm quitting The EDF predictor league as from now. Reason being:

I did my predictions for yesterday on Sunday but for the first time ever, forgot to log them in on PA. If I'd just forgotten, wouldn't have been so bad but I'd written them down.

Six points lost (including one more correct score)

I was aiming to win this year but enjoyment won't be there anymore. If I lose by 6 points or less, I'll be so p*ssed off!

So I'm bowing out now to save myself the hassle.

AqM are you going to abandon The Swans just because they have been not doing too good recently..

Like you did Millwall.. when they went down :( - Well The lions are not doing to badly at the moment...

Teams bounce back and so will you.. I need the competition .. It looked like it was a race between the pair of us..

So get back in it..

Foxy

If I was in the bottom half of the league, losing 6 points probably wouldn't have made much difference.

But being in the top 2 for so long (and intending to stay there!) it most likely would have. Not about to take that chance, so I'm done.

Foxy,

I might have got you into it, but I think you're enjoying every minute :)

As for Millwall, you know as well as I do that I lost interest in them long before they were relegated. No, I'm not going to abandon the Swans.

If you saw any of the players in my fantasy/dream teams, you would see just how loyal I am. I've stuck with my Swansea players from the start, even though they stopped turning up for matches for 3 months!! Things are looking up now but don't think my fantasy league positions will ever recover. I'd sooner finish bottom than give up on my Swans.

That's loyalty for you ;-)

No, I don't but neither do you!

I'm still loyal to my team though.

You've still got the chance to beat me in the dream team. Didn't you mention to me at the beginning that you had Bafe Gomis as your striker?

I bet you took him out ages ago! ;-)

I'm bottom and have not made any changes... probably why I'm bottom..

don't even look at it much now...

I'm not worried too much about winning.. I am not a very competitive person..

Anyway that's enough about that.. back to predictions... tonights' game not going to plan..

    • My wife has been complaining about this actually; we are on Crawthew Grove, it started a few years back, then seemed to stop, starting up again circa last September. I'm normally at work around the time she hears it most - between 11pm and 2AM, but even when I'm home I just can't hear it, which she just can't believe, so I guess it depends how sensetive your hearing is... Would love to get to the bottom of it too!
    • Perhaps like Malumbu they compost their food waste?
    • Obviously, but they may be wrong. Not only are we coming up to another population renewal drop after the continuing effects of the baby bulge generation enter a trough,  - secondary schools are closing across many boroughs - but birth rates in the UK continue to fall (not just absolute births which are also falling as a function of the bulge unwind, but births per head). And foreign student numbers are also falling. Additionally the costs of being a student are rising, which encourages more students to go to universities close enough that they don't need accommodation but can live at home. Bubbles burst, and this may be one of them.
    • Exactly. There's also a much easier way to find out how demand and supply are interacting for student housing: look at how goddamn expensive it is! It's a huge barrier to entry for students who want to study away from home. If the price of student housing cratered, this would be great news for everyone except property developers because it would cut housing costs for students and reduce some demand on "mainstream" housing in the wider market (because students won't be looking for houseshares). These property developers (and their financiers) aren't shovelling millions of pounds into student housing because they think the market is going to crash and they're going to lose money! And if they do, it's not really my problem...
