I have been in and liked it a lot. Nice food, well presented, attentive service. 👍

Just walked past this place opposite Dulwich Library today - I'd missed it opening up. Looks like a nice little space, they're doing art club stuff for kids in the holidays.

Love Dulwich is excellent. Been in for breakfast a couple of times.

How do you all find out what is going where? There doesn't seem to be any information on the council website...

From the council licensing register - here is dynamic vines application.

Do we really need another wine shop?...

But better than another empty shop 🙂

PS As teddyboy says various bits of detective work; asking other shop, asking builders.  council website isn't the easiest to search.

Planet of the Grapes wine bar and shop is open as of a few days ago. Its in the premises behind Bon on Frogley Street, formally occupied by Forest. Good luck to them.

The Paper Cat, a new children's bookshop, has opened up at 25 Half Moon Lane in Herne Hill (between Bon Velo bike shop and Flo's Cafe). It has a great range of kids books and looks very nice too. A good addition to the shops at Herne Hill!

walked past this on the weekend and it looks really nice - the seating area is by the doors so works well with the space. Think it will be a good addition.

Looks like there is a new opening at the Dulwich Park end of Lordship Lane, on the stretch of shops opposite the Grove Tavern. It's next to the curryhouse (Spice Republic) and called HNR. Any ideas what it could be? That stretch could do with a bit of sprucing up!

What will replace Vits n Kix on NXR?

It always seems very dark in there during the day, hopefully their new place will be a bit brighter!

The old Willow premises is still looking very forlorn.

Tbh the dark interior of Vits and Kix is the reason I've never been in (though the food/drink offering seems appealing on paper) the very dark interior and neon sign feels a bit gimmicky and nightclubby to me,

I don't want to eat in a cocktail bar I want to drink cocktails in one.

    • There are so many variables. Good chefs can having bad nights, post-Brexit staff shortages, your dish might be brilliant, your friend might order something that's inedible. In the end I think the best option is just to go to the restaurant which has the best overall reviews. If all the reviews are bad then avoid, but even if all the reviews are good that's not a cast iron gaurantee.
