Picture framers!

Hello All,

It's Simon from the Arterie picture framers. I'm back operating from 83 Pellatt Road. Some will know me from my 34 years at North Cross Road. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones .

At 377 Lordship Lane? It's unusual - every eighteen months or so there will be some work done, and then nothing happens. I passed by last week and the door was open - it seems to be decorated in the style of a western saloon, there were bottles of booze on the shelves, and tradies doing something again.

What about the place next to EDT? All seems to have stopped

It was meant to be part of the edt some sort of coffee diner icecream business. All work stopped back in the summer.after edt and other pubs belonging to the same company went into administration

Taylor’s Greengrocers to open at 43 Dulwich Village

Popular Maltby Street greengrocer arrives in the New Year. Good news for the village which doesn't have much choice for groceries!

That's good news. I saw that DVillage is also being renovated. Now the pavement in front is wider and flatter with the recent works, they'll have a nice setup indoors and outdoors.

We went there late November/early December. Very pricy, we had the lunch special which price wise was not too bad, very small glass of coffee £6 50. Hubby paid bill and said he should have challenged it as one small pot of Jasmine tea was £7 for the 2 of us.

I'm sorry to see another chain opening up in the form of Holland and Barratt a couple of doors up from SMBS.  That will be another unfair pressure on SMBS .  I really hope people continue to support SMBS and its relative shop The Cheese Block under huge pressure with the arrival of Mons and Bora.  These are two of the oldest surviving (30 years plus?) green grocers, deli and unusual ingredient food shops in Lordship Lane and made it an interesting high street long before the chains and  newbies moved in.  I would think Healthmatters is none too happy either 😕

Support your local independent store or Lordship Lane will get really dull
