RichardJames
We’re looking to buy a house in ED (3 Bed, 1,100 sq ft type). Quite a few we’ve found on Landells Road, Pellatt Road and Jennings Road are half houses. Does anyone have a view or any experiences of living/buying a half house? sunbob
I remember some old threads about this and have just checked. Use the search function, type in half Houses and there are 3 old threads. 2 of them have specific titles, freehold and water supply. Administrator Joe Posted April 29 Administrator Share Posted April 29 As mentioned above there is a discussion from a few years ago here: Any new feedback from current half-house owners is welcome. emz_167
We live in a half house on Pellatt road and did a loft conversion a few years ago. No complaints at all! The walls on the adjoining side (the side where you share the front door) is a bit thinner than a typical Victorian home so we can hear our neighbours going up and down the stairs but otherwise it’s good. CPR Dave
I live in a typical victorian home and can still hear the neighbours going up and down the stairs sometimes!!
