missk
Unneutered tom, young. Hanging about a lot over last few weeks, Peckham Rye/The Gardens/top of Barry Road. Didn't look unkempt but today he snuck in and ate our cat food for ages, looked really hungry. Would be good to know he has a home somewhere. d walker
Is there any way you could get him scanned for a microchip? Any vet will do this. There seems to be a few unneutered cats hanging around Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1662460 Share on other sites
missk
I'm going to try this tomorrow. Yes, there are a lot of intact toms around sadly..... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1662466 Share on other sites

missk
No - won't come close enough for me to scan him, but he's eaten a couple of times. He may be eating in a few houses apparently, but not sure if he has a fixed abode. I'll keep a look out. Thanks for following up. Mystic Mog
Yes, he definitely, goes to other houses, so I've heard. He is a beautiful looking chap! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1662798 Share on other sites
_STCR_
I would recommend getting in touch with _stcr_ which can be seen on Instagram & tictok. They will check him for a microchip and if not chipped, get him neutered and found a checked out decent home 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1663042 Share on other sites
Nigello
And they can put an elasticated collar with bell attached on him so it will make it harder for him to kill or maim birds (which all cat owners should do). They will check him for a microchip and if not chipped, get him neutered and found a checked out decent home As it isn't law yet to microchip a cat (becomes law in June this year) then whisking off a cat with no microchip to get neutered and rehomed may well be taking someone's pet. There was a proposal on here recently to "rescue" big ginger who looks in a bad way but actually has a living home and is being well cared for. So before whipping him off to whip them off, make 100% sure he is a stray. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1663292 Share on other sites
missk
Thanks all for comments. I've got a scanner and don't think he's chipped. The plan is to befriend him further, and put a paper collar on with my contact details to make absolutely sure he's not owned. Meantime I wish people would neuter! 2 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343578-is-this-cat-lost/#findComment-1663692 Share on other sites
