Well look no further.

To get young people involved in the Dulwich Festival, we have created three fun competitions in art, film and fiction, with options for all ages!

If you've got a budding artist or filmmaker at home? Let them get creative with this year's theme…….

🥁🥁🥁 ‘My Community’!

What does ‘My Community’ mean to you?!

It could be the area you live in, your school, your sports team or favourite club you attend, your place of worship or the people that make your community – your family or friends.

For Art, there are four age categories: Under 5s, 5 to 7, 8 to 11 and 12 to 18 and Film is open to 11-18 year olds.

Or perhaps you have a writer in the house?  If so, our Flash Fiction competition is just the ticket. And there’s no age limit so you or the children can let the imagination run wild (but only up to 400 words, we’re not looking for War and Peace).

For more information and how to enter visit www.dulwichfestival.co.uk/competitions - closing date is 26th April.

    • Are there no daily collections from post boxes any more? On Wednesday Feb 12 I posted a Valentine's Card in the postbox which is about 20 metres from our house to make sure it arrived by Feb 14 (yes I know I could've put it thru letterbox but that's not as romantic is it). After I posted it I noticed the little metal thingy said "Monday" but I thought this must be a mistake and had not been changed. However, Valentine's Day came and went and no card arrived. In fact it arrived on the following Tuesday, Feb 18 so I'm guessing the Monday collection metal thingy was correct. Has it ever been announced officially that there are no longer daily collections from letterboxes? I remember a time, not even that long ago, when the red postman pat van would pull up at least twice a day, every weekday.
    • My lovely tuxedo cat, Rexy, has been missing since Wednesday which is very out of character. Rodwell Road area, SE22. He is a rescue cat so really quite timid with people he doesn’t know. If you spot him, could you please contact me? Many thanks. He is chipped and neutered.  Photos attached.
    • I just wanted to add to this stream. We employed Paul Edgeley  to fix our lights upstairs. They had suddenly all gone out and we could not isolate the issue. He came round the next day and fixed the issue - a problem with the old wiring in the attic - he put in new wiring for us. We were so happy with the job  that we asked him to do some other work in the house. I'm happy to recommend Paul.   His number: 07802627967
    • Must be some lurking out there.
